You will likely want to make a plan for traveling, but taking your vacation trip in a motorhome does allow you to be
more spontaneous with respect to finding a place just to spend the nights. As an example, you can "park" the motorhome at most rest
areas and spend the night when sleeping is all that is required; no camping fees are incurred for the few hours of parking. This keeps
you moving down the road to reach your final destination sooner. Most Wal-Marts also allow free overnight parking.
When
you wish to stay more than overnight, it is best to call ahead to the park or campground to reserve a space as opposed to just
showing up. Either way, you are never left out in the cold, because your home is what you are driving. Pretty cool!
